Noël Solidaire: Valrhona donates €52,000 to 4 non-profit organizations
Underlining its commitment to local development yet again, Valrhona donated €13,000 to each charity, making a total donation of €52,000. This community-minded action was part of the annual "Noël Solidaire" operation and the donation was officially handed over at a ceremony held on December 18 at Valrhona’s Cité du Chocolat.
More and more staff volunteers take part each year and it is attracting growing public interest, while demonstrating Valrhona's enduring commitment to local initiatives. The public’s enthusiasm and the increasing involvement of our staff volunteers go to show the importance given to this community action.
With its strong societal commitment, Valrhona has been participating for ten years in the Grande Braderie organized by the Lafuma brand village in Anneyron (26140).
From December 4th to 7th, employees and volunteers from associations gathered to sell a selection of gourmet products such as chocolate drinks, terroir grands crus for tasting or baking, chocolate candies, crunchy almonds and hazelnuts coated in chocolate...
Bringing together a team of more than 37 people each year, the goal is to raise funds to support local association projects, thereby contributing to solidarity actions in the region. Thanks to everyone's involvement, this operation has raised significant amounts to be donated to organizations.
All proceeds from the sale were donated in equal parts to these four organizations:
The Robert Ardouvin Foundation
Founded in 1946, the Robert Ardouvin Foundation takes in children and teenagers who are experiencing hard times and have been referred by the Children's Social Welfare Agency or directly by a juvenile court judge. The Foundation keeps siblings together whenever possible in the Vercheny Children's Village, which has 65 places for boys and girls aged from a few months to 18 years, from Drôme and other départements.
La Teppe Institute
The La Teppe Institute has been running for more than 165 years since 1856 as a research center where people with epilepsy and mental health challenges can live and receive care in Tain l'Hermitage. As the only center of its kind in France, it is also the first facility in Europe to offer a specialized home for people suffering from epilepsy related to psychiatric illness.
Les Amanins agro-ecological center
This center in the Drôme region of France is a place for experimentation and teaching agricultural and humanitarian practices rooted in a vision based on peace, cooperation and ecological regeneration. For over 20 years, it has been inspired by Pierre Rabhi's ideas around promoting agro-ecology and living well as communities in rural areas. Its participation in Noël Solidaire is helping to fund a 2025-2027 transformation project, which aims to reinforce its expertise and make the center a leader in its field.
KIWI Organisation
This non-profit sets up activities and events for children, teenagers and young adults living with pain, illness or disability. Its cultural initiatives make their daily lives more comfortable and support the organizations that look after them. In 2026, ten cooking and pastry-making workshops with chef Anne-Sophie Pic will be organized for young patients in the endocrinology, pediatric diabetology and hereditary metabolic diseases departments of the Femme Mère Enfant hospital in Lyon, as well as at the Institut d'Hématologie Pédiatrique de l'Enfant (IHOPE) at the Centre Léon Bérard.
