Unicef x Jumana Al Darwish x Valrhona
Hosted by the wonderful Jumana Al Darwish, founder of The Happy Studio, entrepreneur, member of Unicef’s Women’s leadership Group and web 3 leading woman; UNICEF hosted a private event in Dubai to announce their new Goodwill Ambassador in the region and highlight to their campaign “For Every Child”.
With great thanks to Jumana Al Darwish, Valrhona had the opportunity to support a private ladies Suhoor during Ramadan, in support to UNICEF commitment for a better tomorrow in their committed work to reach the most vulnerable at all time. As mentioned during the event by Fairuz Taqi-Eddin, leading UNICEF effort in the Gulf region, UNICEF is not only there during a conflict to support a one time difficult moment, but more than that UNICEF is present on the ground throughout the entire journey: Before, During and After, in communities that need support all year long.
Similarly to our identity - Together, Good becomes better – being part of such event is a great reminder that not only it applies to us as a company, but also to every actors of the world– from societies to culinary, from children to families, from education to fair trade and more.
The wonderful event put together by Jumana, had a very special guest just appointed UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador – famous Emirati singer, Balqees Fathi who has been very vocal in supporting children’s cause not only through her music videos and songs but also with on the ground focus.
UNICEF in the Gulf 2019–2023 program aims to accelerate the realization of child rights and further strengthen strategic partnership in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Our work is aligned with national development plans and the Sustainable Development Goals.
To have an optimum impact, the partnership between Gulf governments and UNICEF focuses on four mutually agreed strategic priorities, building decades of results for children.
